The new Volvo S60, carved to stir emotions

Here are the first official pictures of the new Volvo S60 - Volvo sportier and more dynamic than ever.
"The new Volvo S60 is made to arouse strong emotions. The line and its dynamic behavior to differ from any other Volvo model produced to date. In addition, the technology used on the car behind the wheel will help people to feel more comfortable and safe, "says Stephen Odell, President and CEO of Volvo Cars.
The new Volvo S60 can be equipped with Pedestrian Detection - a revolutionary advance in safety device capable of detecting pedestrians who come to see the car in front and automatically brake to avoid a collision if the driver does not react in time.
The new Volvo S60 will be shown for the first time in public at the Geneva Motor Show in March of next year. The production of this sports sedan will begin in early summer 2010 at the Volvo Cars factory in Ghent, Belgium.
