What options for action are the technical point of view when the economics are what counts? As can be really reduced the consumption of a car affordable? And what is its real impact on the environment? There are already cars that can rightly be called green? You can think of a car that does not require you to choose between fuel economy and a normal, free daily use? For a growing number of people, all these questions are critical. e Passat BlueMotion dimostrando così i risultati che si possono ottenere in questo campo, unendo le migliori tecnologie disponibili e offrendole a prezzi accessibili. On 15 September at the 2009 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA), Volkswagen will introduce the new generation Polo BlueMotion, Golf BlueMotion and Passat BlueMotion thus demonstrating that the results can be achieved in this field, combining the best technologies available and offering them to affordable. All three Volkswagen models boast the lowest consumption in their class: will debut internationally in the final version of the series in 2009 at the IAA and will be available on the market since the autumn.

Or P or BlueMotion: 3.3 litres/100 km and 87 g / km CO 2 are the new worldwide standard

The new Polo BlueMotion (75 hp) with a combined cycle fuel consumption of 3.3 liters of diesel per 100 km (with emissions of 87 g / km CO 2) is promoted "3-liter car" of the new millennium and recognized as the most fuel efficient five-seater in the world. Compared to a conventional Polo 6.1 TDI 75 hp, the CO 2 emissions are reduced by 20% and fuel consumption of 0.9 liters, thanks to the use of BlueMotion Technologies in conjunction with the 1.2 TDI engine, high-tech new concept. No problem, therefore, to use their car to go to work, on holiday or enjoy a long weekend. Who, for example, traveling from Berlin to Frankfurt IAA with a Polo BlueMotion, could travel the 545 km as little as 19 euros (cost calculated based on the average price of diesel in Germany in the month of July). Even refueling would become almost a minor problem, since with a 45 liter tank the Polo BlueMotion is able to ensure a range of 1363 km theoretical. Another example: according to figures from the Federal Office of Statistics, in Germany every year you travel by car on average about 11,000 miles. And if you have a Polo BlueMotion this means we are able to travel a year filled with 8 and 377 euro you spend on fuel. The Polo BlueMotion, which can reach 173 km / h, will debut on the market in early 2010.

Golf BlueMotion: 3.8 litres/100 km and 99 g / km CO 2 are revolutionizing the compact segment

The new Golf BlueMotion (105 hp) is a champion of savings as the Polo. With consumption which amounted to 3.8 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers in combined cycle (99 g / km CO 2), imposes itself as the most frugal car in its class. The theoretical range, in this case, is equal to 1447 km (tank 55 liters). According to data from the Federal Office of Statistics, in Germany every year you travel by car on average about 11,000 miles. The average annual expenditure for fuel and then stood at just 439 Euros, or about 37 euros per month. The heart of the Golf more economical in the consumption of all time is a new common rail turbodiesel engine and quiet. Like all Volkswagen TDI engines, even in this case, fuel efficiency is not synonymous with compromise in performance. On the contrary, the powerful 16-valve 4-cylinder engine 105 hp, in fact, is already capable of delivering at 2,000 rpm a maximum torque of 250 Nm. Armed with these characteristics, the Golf BlueMotion can go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 11.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 km / h. The new Golf BlueMotion will be available in late autumn.

Passat BlueMotion: 4.4 litres/100 km and 114 g / km CO 2 values, surprisingly below-average

Autonomy from the records of the new Passat BlueMotion. With an average fuel consumption of just 4.4 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers in combined cycle (114 g / km CO 2) can be achieved, thanks to 70-liter tank, well 1,591 km journey. According to data from the Federal Office of Statistics, in Germany every year you travel by car on average about 11,000 kilometers, ie a total of 7 supplies a year, at a cost of about 502 Euro. At the moment no other car in its segment worldwide, can boast the best values. The new Passat BlueMotion will be available as early as November in both sedan and Variant. The Passat and the Golf BlueMotion mount the same engine: the powerful 105 hp common rail TDI. Just one look at the incredible performance of the Passat to understand the potential of this engine and the aerodynamics of the car: top speed 193 km / h and 12.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km / h.

TDI, automatic start / stop and brake energy recovery system

The BlueMotionTechnologies of these three superstars for economical consumption include, in general, a complete package of many high-tech components in addition to good solutions. The conditions for achieving such low values in terms of fuel consumption and emissions are represented by the introduction of new TDI engines with common rail engine management control unit and modified by the software from the lowering of idling. The transmission is via a manual five-speed gearbox with longer ratios. The recommended gear position indicator, built-in instrumentation, the driver reports the ratio of BlueMotion models more suitable to use to deliver maximum fuel efficiency.
Among the features of the system BlueMotion include: energy recovery system during braking, start / stop function (automatic shutdown of the engine during stops, for example at traffic lights), tires with optimized rolling resistance, particularly alloy wheels Lightweight and streamlined, aerodynamic honing the body as well as lowered suspension for Polo and Golf. The new BlueMotion versions also differ from the standard design for every change made and custom interiors. With the changes to the design of dynamic character, introduced for the first time on BlueMotion models, Volkswagen demonstrates its willingness to combine fuel efficiency and sportiness. The Golf and Passat are distinguished for example the adoption of bumpers and side skirts of the R-Line, while the Pole, on the other hand, differs in the structure of completely new radiator grille and alloy wheels. Polo and Passat Variant also have a specific spoiler on the tailgate. But not so the prices are soaring, and there are quite specific to the base. The stated intent, in fact, make it as accessible as possible to ecological BlueMotion cars.
