Engine 210 hp, 240 km / h, 0-100 km / h in 7.2 seconds and consumption of 7.5 litres/100 km in combined cycle: it presents itself as the Golf GTI. This model is its sixth generation of a bestseller that has so far gained more than 1.7 million customers.
Based on the recent Golf VI is also the result of the hand of Walter de 'Silva, Head of Volkswagen Group Design, which has created a car unmistakable GTI design, able to express both strength and style. The look of this took GTI revealed links with tradition, like the red outline that frames the grille (taken from the first GTI) and the grid honeycomb grille of the same (typical of the fifth generation). Thanks also to the horizontal design of the front, choice of style at the base of the Golf VI, the GTI has a strong and important (it is 1.78 meters wide), while the sports suspension lowered by 22 mm (1 is high, 47 meters) adds character and dynamism.
As for the mechanics under the hood is a turbocharged 2-liter TSI that, in addition to the power of 210 hp, develops maximum torque of 280 Nm at 1,800 rpm. In order to exploit the performance of the engine, springs, shock absorbers and rear stabilizer bar, have been deeply revised. In addition, an electronic lock (XDS) integrated in ESP improves traction and maneuverability of the car. As with the Golf VI GTI is also available on request the DCC adaptive suspension.
