The new BMW S 1000 RR superbike is the first BMW motorcycle equipped with four-cylinder engine and a number of innovative technologies to celebrate its world premiere on the famous Monza circuit. This super power from the engine 142 kW (193 hp) and weighs only 204 kg including liquid (dry weight 183 kg, 206.5 kg with ABS Race) is a milestone in the sporting world of BMW Motorrad: the new super offers not only the absolute highlight in power to weight ratio in terms of performance but also sets the new benchmark for driving dynamics, safety and driving innovation through the Race and ABS Traction Control (DTC Dynamic Traction Control).

The decision to organize the presentation of the legendary high-speed circuit in the royal park of Monza is not accidental. Since the beginning of the Team BMW Motorrad Motorsport is in the Superbike World Championship and the new S 1000 RR is the basic version, as required by the regulation of motorcycle racing close to the series of the two factory riders Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus .
